How far in advance should your wedding dress be purchased?

Wedding preparation is one of the most challenging tasks a person could face, from venue choices to the cake and decorations, every detail is a decision we have to make to have the wedding of our dreams.

One of the most important of these decisions is, of course, to choose your wedding gown. We already said a thing or two about selecting dresses, but when is the right time to buy the gown of your dreams?

"When is the right time to purchase your dress? Keep in mind that you need enough time to be shipped to your bridal salon, and sent to the tailor for alterations."

We recommend purchasing your wedding dress between eight and 10 months before the wedding. This leaves enough time for your wedding dress to be made to your measurements, shipped to your bridal salon, and sent to the tailor for alterations.

Please keep in mind that with today’s supply chain issues post covid deliveries are taking longer than usual. It is better to leave ample time for your dress to arrive.

“It is better to leave ample time for your dress to arrive, don’t buy it on a hurry”
